Nestled in the heart of Montana's Bitterroot Valley, Heartwood Schoolhouse is a nature-based learning community for ages 3-12 years old-devoted to preserving the wonder of childhood. Our cozy yurt classroom offers a warm and inspiring space where curiosity is nurtured, imaginations run free and learning is rooted in connection-to land, to each other, and to self.
Heartwood is designed for families who cherish the freedom and flexibility of homeschooling but desire a supportive, social environment where children can engage in rich academic learning. We offer the best of both worlds- nature inspired community with the flexibility of homeschool. This allows each child to thrive at their own pace while enjoying meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and rhythms of nurturing community.
